She’s interested in the application of social web approaches to support learning – wherever it happens. Cindy’s been a college instructor, considers herself a learner, is proud to be an amateur at most things and has been involved with educational technology and distance learning for the past several years at UBC.

He also teaches a course on “Text Technologies: The Changing Spaces of Reading and Writing” for UBC’s Master of Educational Technology program. He mutters ill-tempered observations on social learning, open education, disruptive technologies and other such things on his weblog, Abject Learning.

Catherine builds communities on campus around teaching and learning with technology by organizing Community of Practice meetings, facilitating workshops, and working as a project manager. Catherine also coordinates the programming and delivery of the Teaching and Learning with Technology series.

Zack coordinates the logistics for the special events that OLT is involved in such as the Canadian e-Learning Conference and the Open Education Conference. He is interested in the effects of technology on literacy and the creation of new forms of expression.

Michael assists with the development and implementation of marketing and communications initiatives at OLT. He also designs visual identities and layouts for print and online materials, coordinates articles and copy for the OLT website, and assists with event organization.
