OLT mugsOLT Marketing and Communications develops communications and marketing strategies that advance the mission, vision and values of the Office of Learning Technology and support the University of British Columbia’s Strategic Plan. The Marketing and Communications division works with partners on campus to build and maintain relationships with key constituents including students, faculty and staff, and the broader academic community. Our responsibilities include:

Marketing

We coordinate the development of marketing strategies and branding programs aimed at promoting distance education, professional development and learning technology initiatives that enhance the reputation of UBC.

OLT-Interior-Card

Communications

The Marketing and Communications division develops and implements communication strategies to facilitate relationships with internal and external audiences. We also oversee the development of online and print publications and outreach initiatives. The division regularly writes articles on OLT events, distance education updates, and new learning technologies.

Special Events

We help coordinate OLT-hosted special events including conferences (recent conferences include the 2009 Canadian e-Learning Conference and the 2009 Open Education Conference) and the annual e-Learning Open House.

Business Development

The Marketing and Communications division helps facilitate business development relationships between OLT and external clients.
